Also, I love the first part of the baseball story, and I get the whole disappointment part. I just noticed that the White House, which seemed to be subtly walking back its stance on so-called gender affirming care for minors (on July 8), once again (on July 10) caved to pressure from HRC and other such activist organizations and reiterated its position that there should be no end to the abuse of the medical system by unscrupulous and/or ill informed, naive medical professionals through the chemical and surgical mutilation of minors who feel ill at ease in their bodies with absolutely no scientific basis, just because they want it.
